Ouseburn Festival (Sat 4th & Sun 5th July)

Summer has officially arrived in the North East in style this week just in time for the annual free festival taking place in the lush surroundings of the Ouseburn Valley.

With this year’s festival taking on an ‘Alice’s Adventures in Ouseburn’ theme you can expect plenty of fantastically surreal goings on up and down the valley from the Biscuit Factory to Malmo Quay and beyond.

The Ouseburn Festival’s live music and comedy offshoot NARC. Fest launches on Saturday with performances at venues across the Ouseburn, including packed line ups at Tyne Bar, The Free Trade, The Cumberland Arms, The Tanners, The Cluny and The Cluny 2.

As always there are child friendly activities galore, including storytelling, face painting, arts and crafts, rubber duck racing, a bike track and plenty more.

To see what’s on offer download a programme from the Ouseburn Festival website, pick up a copy of NARC magazine or visit the Narc. Fest facebook page. Events are free but some may require booking.
